RealNetworks Nabs Euro Phone Deal

r1_banner_logo.gifRealNetworks has been making some serious moves in the mobile industry lately. First it was with the Nokia 3650, and then it was with the Nokia 6600. Now it is with Vodafone--the biggest carrier in Europe. The deal will provide software that streams live video to cell phone users. To put this in perspective, Vodafone has nearly 120 million customers. Now if given the right phone, nearly everyone can enjoy streaming audio/video. Microsoft was trying to ink the deal with its Windows Media Player, but the suits at Vodafone said RealOne was a "better product".
