Verizon glitch fix is a bitch

Verizon Wireless fixed a bug in its text messaging website that let anyone retrieve lists of customers' cell-phone numbers and private text messages. It's been a problem for about 3 months (way to go Verizon), but the fix still is lackluster. "Now, legitimate users can't receive confirmation that their text message was sent to the right phone number. Instead, they receive a line of asterisks where the intended telephone number once existed." Sounds like Verizon Wireless corporate said, "fix it" to the programming department that's already under-staffed. Hopefully the system will be repaired with a more elegant solution in the near future. At least most people didn't have problems--Americans don't text message!
