Back in August we mentioned that a women in Austria had her Nokia catch fire. The company blamed her 3rd-party replacement battery. There has been another case of cell phone fire, this time in Omaha: bq. "When the phone exploded, the battery blew out of the compartment and ended up lodged in the car seat..." The phone was made by Kyocera, and it is not clear if a replacement battery was on board or not. However, since the phone was only 2 days old it's unlikely that anything not from the factory was onboard. Update: Kyocera has stated that it is stopping shipments of the phone (KE400/KX400 series) worldwide until it can clarify what went wrong.
