FCC clarifies LNP rules, landline-to-mobile thumbs up
The FCC has issued a
clarification of the local number portability (LNP) at the request of major wireless carriers. The statement said consumers should be able to move their landline numbers to wireless companies even if the two companies do not share switching offices. It doesn't go in reverse (wireless to landline) due to lack of demand.
