UK hits text message record

The UK
hit a record for SMS on new years day. The number of text messages sent in the first 24 hours of 2004 totaled 111 million. That's 8% more than last year, and nearly twice the daily average of 2003.
There has been
talk of lost text messages due to the volume, but exact figures are unkown (the test was extremely basic).
