PalmOne to focus on phones

It's official, PDAs didn't kill phones. PalmONE, the largest maker of personal digital assistants, has
announced that it will "refocus its investments on devices that include mobile phones." Due to the merger with Handspring and the new focus, the company is laying off about 100 workers.
