Sony Ericsson posts profit, doubles expectations

Apr 19 2004 - 09:51 AM ET | Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson announced another quarter of profitability, a rather recent notion in the company's short history. The company made about $100 million last quarter, or double what was expected. This makes it the third quarter in a row that Sony Ericsson has recorded a profit. Strong sales of camera phones helped keep revenue up and leading to over 8 million phones sold. Nokia is still rocked from its last profit announcement.
