Symbian Q1 results released

Smartphone OS maker Symbian has released its first-quarter results for 2004. Sales are up:
- Global shipments reached 2.4 million (1.18 million in the same quarter last year)
- Seven new products were announced by Symbian OS licensees
- Symbian OS 8.0 was released
