FCC approves spectrum reconfiguration

The FCC has approved a plan to reconfigure wireless spectrum for wireless-mobile broadband. It rejected a plan to allow the sale of educational spectrum space to commercial interests. Under the new plan education organizations are allowed to lease spectrum to commercial companies for wireless broadband, but still must keep 5% for educational use.
