Cingular Q3 2004 earnings

Cingular's third quarter 2004 earnings were announced today:
Numbers are compared to the year ago quarter.
* Revenue of $4.3 billion, up rose 4.9%
* Operating income of $461 million, down 5.5%
* 657,000 subscriber net gain, 25.7 million total
* Average revenue per user per user: $49.78, down 5.1%
Cingular's churn rate (customer turnover) was a nice low 2.8%.
