Verizon Wireless intros new PIM features [CTIA IT 04]

Verizon Wireless yesterday announced new Enhanced Personal Information Management (ePIM) features, for Pocket Outlook on Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003. The new features are available on both Microsoft QuickStart and SmartStart programs for Exchange Server 2003 Mobile Messaging. They are: * Exchange Server 2003 global address list lookup * Meeting scheduling for mobile users with other contacts * The ability to view free and busy time of other contacts * Access summary information about a scheduled meeting after a meeting request has been configured. Currently Verizon Wireless only carries two phones that run Windows Mobile 2003: the Samsung i600 and Samsung i700. The company also announced that it plans to add more Windows Mobile powered devices later this year.
