Virgin Mobile and Nokia team up

Nov 17 2004 - 02:06 PM ET | MVNO, Nokia, Virgin Mobile
Virgin Mobile and Nokia have signed a deal to bring a CDMA Nokia phone to market from Virgin Mobile by 2005. Currently Virgin Mobile only has phones from Kyocera and Audiovox. Nokia hasn't been a major CDMA maker in quite some time, though it is currently trying to grow its CDMA business. Virgin Mobile is an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) and leases its network from Sprint PCS.
