Siemens mulls mobile unit options

Siemens has admitted to looking at its options for what to do with the company's money losing mobile phone unit, but did not validate rumors that Siemens is selling the division. bq. A company spokesman said Siemens had made no decision on whether to sell the division, dismissing a report in Sunday's Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung that the plans were already in motion. Chinese handset maker Ningbo Bird is the company said to be interested in the business. Siemens is currently the #4 most popular brand of mobile phones, just ahead of LG and Sony Ericsson.
