PalmSource takes beating

PalmSource, makers of the Palm OS, today saw its stock [PSRC] hit an all time low. Back in October 2003 two companies were formed out of Palm: PalmOne (hardware) and PalmSource (software). Investors are reacting to a dismal outlook provided by PalmSource: bq. The company predicted net earnings would range from break even to a loss of as much as 11 cents a share, on a slightly lower number of outstanding shares. In the same period of last year, net earnings were 5 cents per share.
