Deutsche Telekom, parent company of T-Mobile, is reportedly in talks with Stelios Haji-Ioannou over creating a cheap mobile carrier for Germany. Stelios Haji-Ioannou is the creator of EasyJet (a no-frills airline in Europe) and other budget-priced businesses. The interesting part is how easyMObile cuts cost: bq. Expenses are kept low by allowing customers to join and administer the easyMobile service only through its web site. Customers can order SIM (mobile network user identity) cards for their existing phones and buy pre-paid airtime online.
