Sanyo SCP-5600 approved by FCC

The FCC today posted approval documents for the Sanyo SCP-5600 (FCC ID AEZSCP-56H). Sanyo requested short-term confidentiality because, "This design is a basis from which future technological products will evolve."

Here's what's known about the Sanyo 5600:

• CDMA
• MiniSD card slot
• Megapixel digital camera with flash
• QVGA (240×320) main display with 262K colors; external display also 262K colors
• Push-to-talk

It's expected that the Sanyo 5600 will find its way to Sprint PCS as the Sanyo MM-5600. Insiders believe the MM-5600 will ship this quarter.
