Research In Motion Co-Chief Executive Jim Balsillie said that he expects 180 carriers to sell BlackBerry devices by the end of the year. RIM currently has 100 carrier partners but a very large percentage of its userbase is in the US. While RIM holds only a tiny fraction of the overall mobile phone market, BlackBerry is quickly growing: bq. With 2 million BlackBerry subscribers by late November, RIM has said it expects to add between 435,000 and 455,000 in its fiscal fourth quarter to end-February.
