sendo_logo.gifThree firms are in aquisition talks with Sendo according to Reuters. While not well known in the US, UK based Sendo makes several mobile phone models including the advanced X2. bq. "We're in discussions with three companies. As a matter of fact they are all in the handset industry. They are partnership deals, some of which may result in a takeover. We're very close to concluding a transaction," Hugh Brogan [Sendo's CEO] Motorola came up as a possible buyer, but the company declined comment. Overall Sendo is a small player, with only 300 employees and a sales forecast of 6.5 to 7 million units this year. By contrast, Motorola sold 28.7 million units in the first quarter alone. However, Sendo can make a low-end phone for cheaper than some of the established players because of its small size.
