Looks good, but light on features. At least Samsung is starting to think outside of the silver clamshell rut.

Matt Sep 04 2005

Great look, but not too many features like Kevin said. I think Samsung has recently hired some more designers.

Gina Sep 09 2005

I think it is terrible that everything you download you have to pay when one pays for service I would think that there should be some download or at least a free ring tones and few other choices one could add without the additional charges.

Liz Sep 09 2005

Where can I find a downloads that are compatible with this model?

Craig Sep 14 2005

How is the signal strength on this phone, I have always had an external atenna

Theone Oct 03 2005

I cant find any ringtones for this cell phone, any tips or ideas????

Herbert Oct 04 2005

I would love to know where I could get some ring tones for this phone! please help

lisa Oct 12 2005

I bought this phone and it is really good so far!! to get free ringtones go to www.3gforfree.com. As far as signal strength its just as good as any of the phones but overall the phone is a good one. The only thing to me is they needed to make the ring volume more clear and loud.

shawn Oct 16 2005

do I need to sign up for mobile phone internet service to download the ring tone? Or it can be programmed online from your home internet service

john Oct 19 2005

free ringtones: 3G for free

Steven Oct 20 2005

3G is not for free

ryan Oct 28 2005

this phone is amazing. crystal clear, internal antenna works great, just don't press your finger on top portion near camera or you will obstruct antenna and signal will fade. this phone is great and cheap, 79.99 dollars with existing account. 59.99 with new account.

whatever Nov 17 2005

I love the phone but I bought two of them and I'm taking them both back because of echoing on every other phone call I make. It's so bad I can't carry on a conversation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lee Nov 27 2005

yeah, what's that echoing all about? it's absolutely horrible. and i can't seem to find the function to disable the sound that the phone makes when it's low on battery. it's hard to do conference calls, too. it's too late now to return the phone :(

Jamie Dec 02 2005

The phone is good, but the 3G thing is not free. i hate w/e sites say they are until you actually try to get a ringtone. if you find any places where they really are, i wanna know. =]

Shani Dec 10 2005

i'm thinking about buying this phone. i just fell completely in love with it from the moment i saw it!

P.S: 3G isn't free.. last time i used it my bill came very extremely high.

Billy Dec 20 2005

Phone has great call quality. Battery talk time is far less than advertised.

Debbie Dec 21 2005

I agree about the battery life. It's very much less than advertised. At first I even had the battery and then the phone replaced. Still the same. I have to charge it at least twice a day and that's only talking on it for maybe 30 minutes.

annie Dec 25 2005

Has anyone had trouble with the billing of this phone through SprintPCS? Family plan advertised for 65.99 coming to over $120.00 a month. And yes, it has all the features but Sprint and others nickle and dime you to death to use all the features. Extra charges everywhere.

Dee Jan 11 2006

I've had my phone for a while now.and I'm quite satified with it. I have not experienced any of the echoing. I get pretty good talk time too. The one thing I do agree with is that the ringtones could be louder.

LISA Jan 17 2006

I AM DISSAPOINTED IN SPRINT WITH THIS PHONE. I BOUGHT THIS PHONE BECAUSE THE BRAND IS "KNOWN"TO BE GOOD. WELL I PURCHASED THE PHONE IN LATE OCTOBER AND BY EARLY DECEMBER THE PHONE WENT DEAD, IT WOULD'NT CHARGE NOR TURN ON. I GOT A REPLACEMENT PHONE AND IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN BUT THIS TIME IT WENT BAD LESS THAN A MONTH SINCE I RECEIVED IT. I HAVE GIVEN UP WITH THIS PHONE SO GIVE 2ND THOUGHT BEFORE YOU PURCHASE IT.

Jay Jan 28 2006

Be aware of Sprint's new policy. If you don't purchase a monthly $3 warranty contract and your phone breaks anytime during the warranty period they now make you mail your phone to the manufacture for service. They won't do warranty repair work at their stores. You'll be without your phone. This change took place after they bought Nextel.

Tony Delap Feb 02 2006

If you want free ringtones, download a program called "Audio Gizmo" from download.com. You then choose the portion of the song you want as your ringtone, then you download it via a text message. You only pay for internet usage. The program is freeware.

I love this phone and you can downloaded free ringtones at 3gforfree.com freeeeeeee or mbuzzy.com

Nina May 18 2006

I had to pay for a year's fee of around $8.00 at 3gforfree.com (but more then worth it) and am able to download as much as I want and as a bonus I can send as many ringtones/ wallpapers to my friends as I want too.

Niya Jun 16 2006

Is there any way we can make this phone ring louder?? The ringtones are so low I can barely here them! Also, is there another FREE of Charge ringtone website I can go to because 3gforfree really has some LAME ringtones and they never update them!! HELP!!

Colin Turnes Jun 22 2006

My A840 had defects in workmanship and design.
The video harness cracked in two and thats with 4 layers. The phone was put together using thread lock blue and was not possible to service without
the studs breaking loose on two out of four screws

Michael Jun 24 2006

I've got a Samsung A560 phone with a code lock and I don't know the number to unlock it. Has anyone got ideas of how to unlock the phone? Any help would be much appreciated!

Justin Sep 07 2006

This phone sucks. I only had it for a week, it fell twice off my bed and now it won't come back on. I'm guessing its broken so it isn't very durable.

Pimp C Sep 16 2006

my phone locked before....have you treid the last 4 digits of ur phone number?

Pimp C Sep 16 2006

also if you go to www.3gforfree.com on your phone it's free

Laqonda Oct 10 2006

I Love 2 Get Free Ringtones

alex Oct 14 2006

i have had this phone for a while and its very durable i have dropped it many times and its very scratched up... about the battery life... get the extended battery... the 60 dollars is worth the up to 7 hours of talk time and alot less charging it... good luck with free ringtones... just download them from the downloads section

tim Oct 20 2006

DURABLE is the word. holy crap. i accidentally left this phone on top of my car and drove off. a minute later as i was driving 45 mph i heard a noise and looked in my rearview mirror and saw it fly off the top of my car. when i turned around and looked for it, i found it in the gravel on the shoulder and it only had a slight gash on the bottom. all the screens and buttons work fine. no problems at all. yes, it survived a 45 mph tumble. thats pretty stinkin impressive.
