Nokia's CEO, Jorma Ollila, is excited about growth opportunities for the global mobile phone market. Last week he noted the forecast for total sales for 2005 is 780 million units and that he expects 2006 to outpace predictions.

China should fuel the growth as the county is expected to add 250 million subscribers by 2010. For reference, the CTIA says the US has 200 million total subscribers.

"China currently has 380 million mobile subscribers. We believe that by 2010, China will have added another 250 million mobile subscribers, making it the single largest mobile market in the world," said Jorma Ollila, Chairman and CEO of Nokia.
