While South Korea is using SMS to send court indictments, pimps in India are using text messages to get new business. According to IndiaDaily:
The pimps send random SMSes to corporate salary account holders of leading private banks, offering “specialised services”... Though the message was vague, when the recipients called up the numbers, they were offered a range of sexual services.
Prostitution in India is illegal and the police are investigating. Interestingly enough the messages were only sent to workers that made enough money to afford the illicit services.
