The Federal Communications Comission has set June 29th as the date for its advanced wireless service licenses auction. T-Mobile USA is expected to make a big showing at the auction since it is currently light on spectrum and doesn't yet have 3G services rolled out.
The auction will sell off 1,122 licenses in the 1700 and 2100 MHz bands. There hasn't yet been guidance on how much revenue the auction is expected to raise, the FCC is still seeking comment on minimum bid values.
