BenQ EF913GSM 2006 -- BenQ announced its first HSDPA phone at 3GSM, the EF91. The company is calling it the first HSDPA phone, but both LG and Samsung were showing off HSDPA equipped phones at CES. Discounting the claim, the EF91 is still quite a high-end handset:

  • 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus
  • miniSD card slot
  • QVGA screen with 262K colors
  • Bluetooth with support for stereo headsets
  • HSDPA with video call support

The BenQ EF91 is scheduled to begin shipping this summer. Prices will vary by local.

BenQ announced another handset at the show, a music phone called the EF51.

Wow a 3 megapixel camera! That's amazing. Does anyone have sample pictures?

You're right, great to see cameras starting to creep up in resolution. A while ago 2 megapixels was top of the line, but that really should be fading out now. I haven't seen any samples, but will post them if I get them.

We're still not caught up with Korea though, they have had a 7 megapixel phone for a while :).

Since it's HSDPA does that mean we can hope it comes out on Cingular? The specs sound awesome.
