Samsung SGH-Z510 RAZR look alike

Feb 17 2006 - 10:52 AM ET | Samsung

Samsung SGH-Z510 This week during 3GSM Samsung dropped a number of phones, but one of the more interesting to hit the show floor, was the Samsung SGH-Z510. Samsung is billing the new SGH-Z510 as the world thinnest phone, a questionable claim, but a very slim RAZR'esque phone, nonetheless.

The UMTS phone is fairly loaded with the exception of a SD card slot.

  • QVGA TFT LCD internal display
  • 262k colors
  • 65k color external display.
  • 97g (3.42oz)
  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • Music Player, MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+/WMA
  • 138MB internal memory

The phone should see daylight in Q2 of 2006.

I've used the Samsung A900 and can attest that Samsung makes a much more attractive phone than Moto. Not only is it more attractive, it feels more durable. I'm sure this phone will have the same build quality and sturdiness. And it simply looks better than a razr.

get a life, it looks like a razr, they are all copying each other.

I'm not sure it's better than Moto, basicly they're the same as arun said

This phone look good...for me to poop on

DAMN!!! Apr 18 2006

I have the A900 and the thing I don't like is the fact that the damn cord is connected a little awkward, not like the Razr's USB which I prefer becuase I use USB on just about everything, making my other USB cables compatible with the Razr's jack. I can use my MP3 player's Jack if I ever damage the Razr's cord, unlike the Blade's, which costs like $30.

well, I guess that's why the Blade is alot thinner, the USB jack is alot slimmer than the bulky one for Razr, I really could care less, though, but I have Sprint, whos service is better than Cingular, Verizon or even T-Mobil, well atleast to my knowledge in the four years of service I've had. a few quirks here and there, but never a big problem after that. the merger with Nextel really is something else, but other than that I'm fine with it.

The Razr is a device above and beyond any other copy. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. These knock offs will only boost the sales of the Razr. Imagine purchasing fake Nikes' to wear during any sporting activity. The look may be there, but the feel is lacking and then your left wanting to one day make the real purchase, if only for the experience. These companies should put there focus in developing technology based on features and convienance like Motorola has done throughout the years. They will never stand out copying a giant, they will only fall out. Hey it's better for me as a consumer, the choices are limited and they are making it clear that MOTO life is the only life worth living.

I have the Z510 and I love it. I love how slim the razr is but there were a few reasons why I did not want it. First and foremost, I don't like the Motorola interface and software. I feel Motorola phones are very slow. Another reason is that everybody and their mother has the razr. The last reason is that I do not like how, when open, the razr has that big block at the bottom of the phone and the top flip piece is alot smaller than the bottom of the phone. I think it looks very awkward. The razr v3x is probably a lot better, but still, its a Motorola razr and I do not want to be like everybody else.

yeah! be not like everybody else, but be like everyone else who's copying the looks and feel of the famous RAZR! Moto phones are still the best trendsetter....
