Samsung SGH-D870 announced at CeBIT

Samsung announced another slider at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, the Samsung SGH-D870.

Though the SGH-D870 is most likely slated for European / Asian release, the tri-band, EDGE compatible Samsung SGH-D870, is a slim phone coming in at 0.51" thick, and weighting in at only 3.28oz. A greatly appreciated feature is the inclusion of 80 MB of on board memory, and an additional microSD slot.

Specs for the Samsung SGH-D870:

  • GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, EDGE
  • 2.1" 262k color TFT LCD, 240×320 pixel resolution
  • 3.0 megapixel resolution camera with video
  • Bluetooth
  • 80MB on board memory, microSD expansion slot

  • 103.5mm x 51mm x 13mm (4.07" × 2.00" × 0.51")
  • 93g (3.28oz)

Pricing and carrier availability for the Samsung SGH-D870 has not yet been formally announced, yet since it is only a tri-band Phone, North Americans can presently only hope that a variation will reach their shores.
