Cingular simplifies messaging prices

Cingular has updated its message pricing to not differentiate between text and multimedia messages. Customers now simply pay for blocks of messages which can be used in any manner. This mirrors the practices of T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and Alltel.

There are just two messaging packages, one for $4.99 that includes 200 and one for $19.99 that includes 3,000. However the new messaging rules also apply to MEdia net, $10 gets 400 messages and 1MB of data usage for example.
