Full Review

The Action Button

The 15 Pro introduced the Action Button – a programmable side button that replaces the mute switch. Set it to launch the camera, activate a Shortcut, toggle silent mode, or trigger Shazam. It’s a small addition that becomes surprisingly indispensable once you programme it to your workflow.

Pro Camera in a Compact Body

ProRAW, ProRes video at 4K 60fps, and the 48MP main sensor give professional photographers everything they need in a 6.1-inch phone. The 3x telephoto is excellent for portraits and detail shots, even if it can’t match the 5x reach of the Pro Max.

Value Proposition Post-iPhone 16

With iPhone 16 Pro discounting the 15 Pro significantly, it becomes one of Apple’s best value propositions. For casual users who don’t need the absolute latest A18 Pro chip or Camera Control button, the 15 Pro delivers 95% of the experience at a meaningfully lower cost.

Verdict

8.8
The iPhone 15 Pro offers Apple's professional camera tools and premium titanium construction at a competitive price following the iPhone 16 launch. The 3x telephoto limitation versus the Pro Max is the main trade-off.
