Would You Switch After Portable Numbers?

recent survey asked people if they would switch after number portability kicks in (hopefully in Novemeber). The results were interesting:
* 16 percent may discontinue their local phone service once they can transfer their phone numbers.
* 27 percent indicated that they would switch wireless providers once they received a better offer.
(Ed. note, this is shockingly low... Who wouldn't change for a better offer?)
* 6 percent said they would switch services a day after number portability took effect
