CompUSA flirts with Virgin

Sep 10 2003 - 05:31 PM ET | Sprint Nextel, Virgin Mobile
Virgin Mobile is on a hot streak. First it was locking down sales at 550 Sprint PCS stores, and now it is 220 CompUSA's. Virgin's phones and accessories will be sold throughout the CompUSA chain starting at an unknown date (but we would guess pretty soon). This should be a good deal for both parties considering CompUSA's large youth demo (coming in for computer games and the like). Virgin Mobile is a pay-as-you-go provider that doesn't make its customers sign a contract. Thus, it's popular with kids and those with less than perfect credit.
