Nokia announced today that it has filed for membership in the SD Card Association and that the company has plans to use SD memory in future phone models. This is not the end of MMC for Nokia, the company says it will support both standards. The SD memory card is a removable data storage device about the size of a postage stamp. Cards up to 1GB are readily available.
