PPC-6601 launches on Sprint PCS [CTIA IT 04]
Sprint PCS today launched the Sprint PCS Vision Smart Device Audiovox PPC-6601 at the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2004 trade show in San Francisco. The new device will be available next month through Sprint business channels. The Audiovox PPC-6601 is the CDMA version of the
device known as the MDA III, HTC "Blue Angel", xda IIs and Siemens SX66. Features of the PPC-6601 include:
* Intel XScale 400 MHz processor and 128 MB of on-device memory
* slide-to-hide QWERTY keyboard and touch screen
* Windows Mobile OS
* GoodLink wireless messaging system
* Audible.com support
* Multi-tasking
The PPC-6601 will retail for a pricey of $629.99. The PC-6600 will ship later this year to consumers and is exactly like the PPC-6601 with the addition of a digital camera.
