The FCC may auction off more wireless spectrum intended for 3G access as early as 2006.

The bands to be auctioned include 1710-1755 Megahertz and 2110-2155 MHz. The agency said it would try to sell licenses for airwaves in the 1432-1435 MHz band in July or August 2006.

Another auction starts on January 26th 2005. T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless are expected to be the biggest buyers, but nearly 50 companies are trying to gain access to the auction.
