Sony Ericcson Q4 profit up 28%

Sony Ericcson reported its Q4 2004 earings today:

• $71.8 million in Q4 profit (28% increase over same quarter last year)
• Revenue up 40% in the fourth quarter to $2.63 billion
• 12.6 million handsets sold, up 58%

2005 is expected to be a good year for cell phone makers, but should not see as much growth as 2004 brought. Sony Ericsson will expand its product line, but is tight lipped on how many new models will be launched.
