Nokia today announced the 5140, which looks to be an updated version of the 5140. The Nokia 5140i is the first phone from Nokia to comply with upcoming EU environmental legislation (RoHS, 2002/95/EC). More information on the legislation is available below. Features of the sport-savvy Nokia 5140i include: * MP3 ring tones * FM radio * VGA camera * Fitness Coach application Look for the Nokia 5140i starting in the second quarter of 2005 with an estimated retail price of 200 EUR before subsidies or taxes. Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive or RoHS is a move by the EU to phase out hazardous substances. It will become effective on July 1st 2006.
