Cingular adds GoodLink push-email

Good TechnologyCingular announced today that it will start providing Good Technology's GoodLink software to corporate clients looking to have push-email. By sharing the profits with Cingular, Good is showing another sign that upsetting market leader RIM (maker of BlackBerry) is its number one goal. Two phones carried by Cingular are compatible with GoodLink, the Treo 650 and the Siemens SX66. Cingular is including GoodLink in the $45/monthly unlimited data option available for the two smartphones. While it was possible to GoodLink before this announcement, it cost extra because it did not come directly from Cingular. GoodLink is expected to expand to Series 60 phones in the near future. Last week news broke that Good netted $65 million in its latest round of venture capital. UPDATE: Despite an early fall, shares of RIM are up nearly 1.5% today on the NASDAQ.
