As expected, Disney today announced plans for a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) deal with Sprint PCS later today. Disney Mobile will be focused at kids and families. It will launch next year, but other than that very little information was released.
Rumors of a Disney MVNO have been going on for quite some time, MobileTracker first reported on the idea in May of 2004. Another Disney unit, ESPN, has MVNO plans as well.
