Startup aims to sell cam phone pics to news agencies

A startup called Scoopt recently launched with the idea that news organizations would be willing to pay normal people that witness (and capture) news events. Camera phones took some of the most seen photos of the recent London bombings. After signing up with Scoopt you can MMS or email photos of breaking news which will be viewed by a Scoopt editor who tries to sell the photo to news agencies worldwide. Scoopt splits the revenue 50/50 with you (however, the site doesn't say what a typical photo will sell for).
