lg-vx-1000.jpgThe FCC has approved (ID BEJVX1000) another phone that will be marketed to the parents of children, this time from LG. The VX-1000 is a simplified phone aimed to be given to children. Other recent entrants to this market include the TicTalk from LeapFrog and the FireFly. Feature wise this phone (like others in its segment) is very limited. The phonebook is programmed into the phone by the parent so this phone can only be used to dial a pre-defined set of numbers. The VX-1000 is a CDMA handset and may launch from Verizon Wireless.
