Verizon Wireless expands and cuts price of EV-DO

Verizon Wireless has expanded BroadbandAccess, its name for high-speed EV-DO service. Besides the new market, the price for existing Verizon Wireless voice customers has been cut 25% to $59.99 for unlimited monthly use. Rumors of the price drop leaked out yesterday.

The new markets are: Baton Rouge, LA; Charlotte and Raleigh Durham, NC; Denver; Louisville, KY; and San Francisco and Sacramento, CA.

I was looking forward to this as well. I have debated it at the $80/monthly price point. It's just so nice to have when traveling. Once Sprint launches in more markets (and actually covers the whole market, not just CBD/airport) we may see a real drop from someone.
