It's a day of phone rumors--spy shots of an upcoming Sony Ericsson handset have leaked onto the internet. The photos are of a device being called the W850i. Unlike the W800i, the first announced Walkman phone, the W850i looks to have either a twist form factor like the S700 series. Like the other latest devices from Sony Ericsson, the W850i features a 2 megapixel camera.
UPDATE: Gizmodo has some [much improved] photos--it appears this device is the real deal.
is there actually a phone like that...but it will be expensive i think..and moreover why should sony ericsson come with a new phone when they have got eh most advanced walkman phone on the ramp !!
THE W800...its exp but its worth it...and yeah i have become a sony ericsson fan...i was a nokia fan...though nokia is still the world leader....i like the w800 very much...

An S700 replacement has been rumored a while Matt, so I could see the W850 being just the thing.

Wow, looks neat. But I am more interested in a smartphone. Maybe this will launch at the same time as the replacement to the P910? It must be soon with high-res pics being leaked.

This is a genuine slide phone with 64mb internal memory and a 1GB memory card. Not due out till late summer. 2 colours satin black and golden white. Also is a 3g conference video phone and has access to email. I'm definitely in the queue.

No, it isn't total like the w900i. First, it is about 30g lighter. Second, it extends rather than rotates. Third, it supports the 4gig memory stick rather than just the 2gig

hey guys which one looks better the w850i white or black because i'm getting one and I am a little bit confused
Is this going to replace the S700? Looks like the same form factor. I suppose it could be a slider, but it looks like the S700 so I assume it is a twister.
