Nokia 1255 and 2355 for emerging markets announced

Nokia announced two CDMA handsets for growth markets, the 1255 and 2355. Since the phones are targeted at low-income areas, the feature sets aren't terribly impressive.

Nokia 1255

• Weighs just 80 grams
• Stopwatch and countdown timer
• 250 contact phonebook

Nokia 2355

• Clamshell design
• Speakerphone
• Polyphonic ringtones
• 128 × 128 pixel 65K color screen

Both the Nokia 1255 and Nokia 2355 are expected to be available during Q1 2006.
