Nov 01 2005 - 10:32 AM ET | Motorola, T-Mobile

motorola v360T-Mobile USA today launched the Motorola V360, an update to the popular V330. The biggest additions are a memory card slot and internal antenna, but unfortunately the phone is tri-band (the V330 is quad-band).

Features of the V360 include:

  • Bluetooth
  • EDGE high-speed data
  • 176 × 220 pixel screen with 262K colors
  • microSD card slot (formally TransFlash)

T-Mobile is selling the V360 for $199.99 with a new service contract.

T-mobile sucks ass!!!! Their network is fail and can barely support the edge network. I work and live by T-mobile Corp. Headquarters and the calls always get dropped!!! The Edge network never gets past 136kbps In Seattle, WA. There is a 8 x 8 block radius black area in the most populated area where there is no service. The ICM software they use to track signal strength is a Joke!!!! The technical tiers are nothing but canned comment spew monkeys incapable of troubleshoot any real issues. If you do have a valid network issues none of the monkeys know how to transfer to the Advance Network Solutions groups which by then is more canned comment monkeys who just read service logs. The networking staff is unable to do a job effectively and forget efficiency. It took them 6months to address an issue in Seattle, WA. when they did get their greasy hands on it they messed it up more then it took another three months for them to fix it. So now the service is just another cripple raking in money.

Now for the V360..... bug as all get go.... Loves to shut off and restart itself. The Mp3 player won't recognize mp3 verified that file format and bit rate are under correct specs. 196kbps with the mp3 format. The mp3 player won't recognize half the song load on the Transflash. You can store them on the flash and pull them off and play them on a new computer successfully but they won't play on the phone. Cheap plastic housing ..... my screen with in the first month of having the device broke. Just plain cheap!!!!!! What happened to the solid design cases such as the MPX200... software sucked but what to expect from a first run of windows Mobile os. This isn't the first version of the Motorola OS at least with this one they will allow you to use multiple OBX file transfer. Sound quality is decent..... Navigation is pretty intuitive....

One thing that really suck!!!!!!!!!
If you unlock your phone ie per T-mobile version o f the firmware made it so you cannot add new Web Sessions. What this means is yes you can go to a new network, but you won't be able to create a new WEB Sessions to access the Data network.

Gotta love tmobile for being corporate scum bags that suck every last dime and mislead you to think if you buy the product you can go to another network. Not the case…. By the way this isn’t just done on Motorola Phone it is done with others as well. This is a sleazy tactic that tmobile embraces.

I agree this phone sux, and t-mobile hasnt been very efficient at solving some problems, in my experience, I also have the V360, and I absolutly hate this piece of crap, mine also likes to restart whenever it gets the urge, and drop calls, sometimes even during a call. The bluetooth on this phone is crap, I have the Motorola H500 bluetooth earpice, and this stupid phone won't connect half the time, and when it does it tells me the signal is weak, even if the phone is in my hand, and the earpiece is in my ear. but trying to even connect the devices can be a trick, alot of the time it says "the bluetooth failed; try cycling the power" even after doing just that, one can easily waste 15 or 20 mins trying to get them to work together, if they're lucky, I mean for Petes sake they're both made by motorola...the kicker is I had this phone replaced for the same thing when I first got it, this is where the effeciency of t-mobile comes to play but that is a whole nother story that I dont want to get into right now. and lets not meantion the signal strength, I'll just say if ya want to use the phone stay near a city or on the highway and you might be able to hold a convorsation aslong as you stand still. And when I bought a 1GB transflash for it the mp3 player wouldnt load at all it would just hang, but the songs could be accessed through the media player, so I had to get a 256MB. I can honestly say that I will never buy another Motorola phone, as this was a waste of money. I had much better luck with Nokia while on t-mobile The only plus to this phone is the screen and the camera, I guess I would have been better off buying a digital camera....and thats my rant

i am from europe and i was in NYC for the summer, and my phone (which was bought in europe and which i had unlocked to take the american SIM card...) was switching itself off..(It does not do this in Europe, on any network, as it works perfectly!!)

I thought it was my phone but after reading this, i guess it must be a tmobile thing. Tmobile indeed sucks!

I like this phone but tmobile suck as a company but i have no problem with the phone...

I cant figure out how to get music on to my phone. This phone makes me angry all the time.

what the hell are you guys talking about.. I sell this phone and it friggin rocks.. I have it flashed with a monster pack (can you say unlocked?) and before and after i flashed it, everything worked great. T-Mobile even has a wizard on their site where you can reprogram websessions directly from them with thair specs ( http://tmobileus.wdsglobal.com/phonefirst ) And the phone only supports up to 516 mb card... It never claimed to support a gig. They threw the mp3 player function on last minute. Maybe you should check your bluetooth settings. I adjusted mine and i never get disconnected. As far as their customer service goes... theyve won awards.. They are the only carrier to my knowledge that will give you the unlock codes to your phone. You tell me what other company does this.

Have a nice day.

Can anyone share what the unlock code is??

I agree with Bryan,Ed & everyone else with T-Mobile it sux's.
I have (2)Phone lines and leave in the city approx. 8-20 miles from two of the nearist T-Mobile antennas and i still get Droped Calls,Broken Ring Tones,Broken Words while listening to other people talk.
We have no tall buildings, elec towers,or power antennas near by either.
This happenes anytime, anywhere on any phone not only one as i have tryed several like Nokia/Motorola/and Samsung.
Now i'm stuck with the service but l'm glad i only have 8Months to go.
As for the Billing Dept.it also suxs and another story.
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW ? ?

Seaux Too Oct 17 2006

hey, this is the 3rd v360 for me and all did the same thing............ drop calls , shut off by itself, turns off when you open it to answer a call, phone book blacks out, and other problems. i like the phone , too bad it is so buggy ! ! ! and as for the company "t-crap-mobile" they arnt much better than there unreliable service. And they will lie to you as well. seven years with them, this is the last contract they get from me. when its over , its over ! ! !
