Cingular Wireless recently added the Sierra Wireless AC860 PC card to its business website. The card suppors quad-band EDGE and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA. The business site notes Cingular plans on launching UMTS/HSDPA in 15-20 markets by the end of the year.
The early 3G markets for Cingular are expected to include the follwing US cities: Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Baltimore, Boston, Washington DC, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle and Tacoma.
Cingular is charging $199.99 after rebate for the card. Unlimited service lists at $79.99 monthly, but discounts can lower that somewhat.
