Opera Software today announced the immediate availability of Opera 8.5 beta for Windows Mobile. Opera 8.5 Pocket PC is based on the same core that the desktop version works off of. The Symbian based version of Opera is widely regarded as the best mobile browser out there.

The beta version will work for a 45-day trial period and is currently free. There is a version for both 2003 and 5.0.
