T-Mobile USA has filed suit against Locatecell.com, accusing the company of illegaly selling private cell phone calling records. The business practice was covered extensively in main stream media earlier this month and has spawned both federal legislation propositions and civil legal action.

"To further safeguard the privacy of our customers, T-Mobile is taking action to prosecute these online data brokers to the fullest extent permitted by the law," said Dave Miller, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, T-Mobile USA. "For the protection of all wireless customers, their illegal actions must be stopped."

Cingular filed suit back on January 13th.
