RIM CFO: Still open to 'reasonable' settlement

Research In Motion CFO Dennis Kavelman noted today at the CIBC World Markets conference that his company is still open to a reasonable settlement with suitor NTP. Reuters quotes the exectutive, "You know if there's a reasonable settlement opportunity that we'd be there. I think we showed last year that we were willing to settle that."

RIM is facing a February 24th court date that could inact an injunction barring the sale of BlackBerry in the US. However the company says it has a workaround so service to its 3 million plus US customers will not be affected.

MobileTracker will watch the court case closely next Friday and post updates as warranted.
