I thought UMTS topped out at 384Kbps? 400 to 700 Kbps sounds like EV-DO speeds and I was under the impression that EV-DO was faster than UMTS. From what I remember reading it was Cingular's HSDPA network that was gonna average 400 to 700 Kbps or more.

The 1st one I got was a lemon. I had to bring it back to Cingular and get a new one. The new one is fine but I do have one complaint. If for some reason you are like me and work in Boston right on the edge of a 3G zone the phone will fight for a 3G signal even tho the GSM signal is much stronger. My phone is therefore useless at work. My old GSM Sony Ericsson worked just fine at work. As long as you don't live/work right on the 3G/GSM reception line it is a great phone. Fun to send videos and pics.

If anybody says anything bad about this phone something is wrong with them. I was at the cingular store today and I was playing with this phone. This phone is the total package thats all I'm going to say.
