Popular college social networking site Facebook is putting the final touches on a WAP site that will allow users to access most features of the site from a mobile phone. According tot he latest ComScore data, Facebook is the seventh most trafficked site on the internet. More than 7 million students are registered, which could make Facebook Mobile the most popular WAP site overnight.
Competing social networking site MySpace has an exclusive relationship with Helio for its mobile site. MySpace is the largest player in the social networking vertical, with nearly 80 million registered members.
