Motorola confirmed an earlier report that the company is launching a temporary store in Chicago.
The store will be located at 666 North Michigan Avenue and will open on June 8th. Officially called Destination Q, the store will focus on the newly launched Motorola Q device. In addition to the Q, Motorola will showcase other CDMA handsets in its portfolio.

Nokia is also planning several stores, including one in Chicago. Analyts see the move as a way to depend less on carrier partners for products to be seen by the public.
