Nokia N91 begins shipping in US

Better late than never, Nokia has announced that US bound shipments of the N91 have begun. Nokia announced the N91 back in April 2005, but its launch was continually delayed until its debut last month. The N91 isn't offered by a US carrier, so the device is available exclusively online from Nokia. The N91 is the second N-Series to launch in the US, after the Nokia N90.

Features of the Nokia N91 include:

  • WiFi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth, USB 2.0
  • 2-megapixel camera
  • 4GB hard drive
  • GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz plus EDGE
  • 176 × 208 pixel display with 262K colors
  • Music playback keys

Nokia is selling the N91 for $599. It comes unlocked. A software update that will be made available in the summer will add support for Windows Media DRM.
